Bubba Ho-Tep!
An elderly, incontinent Elvis Aaron Presley teams up with a deeply incognito John Fitzgerald Kennedy to wage an epic battle against an ancient Egyptian mummy intent on sucking the souls out of…nah, to say any more would be to spoil the moment of discovery.
This is the short story that grew into the script that became the cult classic movie, Bubba Ho-Tep, starring Bruce Campbell and Ossie Davis. Gonzo doesn’t begin to describe it— it’s pure, unadulterated Mojo Storytelling. Nothing if not weird, but also filled with incredible pathos, hope, and… well, more than anything, truth. For all its absurdity, Lansdale has written something that’s just deeply true. “Bubba Ho-Tep” is 35 pages that will change the way you think about The King, the elderly, and the undead… forever.
